I hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving.
I have been to 41 states and 5 continents.
My favorite scripture verse is Romans 8:28.
I cut flowers from my garden to create lovely bouquets and drop them off on random doorsteps to spread a little joy.
I graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations. After graduation, I married my favorite guy and high school sweetheart, Pat. I spent the next several years working in the Public Relations/Entertainment industry in Orlando, Florida. I eventually left the workplace to stay home and raise two amazing kiddos, Kyle and Abby Ann. After a few years at home with the kids, I decided it would be fun to go to school with them, so off to school I went, spending the next decade working at their wonderful elementary school.
My family will tell you that I am always preaching growth mindset learning and encouraging family and friends alike to push outside comfort zones because that is where personal growth is found! Well, I practiced what I had been preaching and pushed myself outside of my own comfort zone by signing up for acting classes that led to modeling work for The Home Shopping Network as well as several television commercial opportunities. It was around this time I started a blog called the Confetti Effect and have published numerous articles. What began as self-help topics slowly turned into more faith-filled content and then I thought I’d take a shot at writing a children’s book. YAY!
Besides writing, reading, hiking, and traveling, I also enjoy serving, leading, and learning at Grace church. After hours, you will find me on my couch cuddled up with my two fur babies, Mochi and Murphy.
