Let Your Light Shine
We have a choice each day. We can choose to make an impact. In this broken and dark world we can become a symbol of hope and goodness. Being there to intentionally help others is the best thing we can do as it reflects our heart and soul. I have listed a few of my Confetti Effects 🎉 and how they may help to elevate, inspire and ignite a spark to those around you.
🎉Encourage Others.
Encouragement can be a small gesture that makes a huge impact. Reach out to family and friends with a positive text or phone call. Drop off some fresh cut flowers at a neighbors doorstep. Place a prayer card on a car windshield or slip one in a mailbox. Bake some banana bread. Listen with the intent of understanding and show up when someone is in need of a good hug or a cry. Run an errand for a sick friend. Return someone’s shopping cart to the store for them. Share encouragement through a simple smile!
🎉Read the Word.
When we read the Bible, we can immerse ourselves in God’s rich words and illuminate them to others. God’s light can glow within us and then shine out into the world. We are not meant to hide this gift. We need to share God’s brightness through His Word, wisdoms and truths. His Word promises to bring joy, peace and love to our life.
🎉Examine Your Heart.
Through your heart, you can show others selflessness to a point of not expecting anything in return. Sometimes, your radiance and light are the very reason others are drawn to you. When we bring our burdens and difficulties to the light, they can't hide anymore.
🎉Be Real. Be Authentic.
Remember who you are. Be the same person in all your friend groups. Authenticity is a way to shine for Christ. Our light shines bright when we share our struggles and challenges with others. This allows us to have hope amongst hardship and sorrow. People desperately need the light you bear from your relationship with God. Remember that your light may help to illuminate a dark place that someone else is in.
🎉Listen and look for signs.
God speaks to us in so many ways you just need to pay attention. Through prayer, through other believers, through nature, through His Word, and so on. Music can connect you and fill you up with God’s love as well. God can speak directly to our hearts, minds and souls, often through the Holy Spirit, which is always present in us.
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16. ✨
